MAPP of the southern Kenai Peninsula is accepting proposals to support their upcoming Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).

All questions must be received by noon on Monday, May 9.

Deadline to apply is Monday, May 23 at 5:00 pm.

RFP Questions and Answers

For the compilation of community data in a format easily manipulated by community partners – can you give more information? Are you expecting a tableau dashboard or is an excel spreadsheet sufficient? We would want to be conscious of the potential for identifying information to be collected, if we’re not reporting out in aggregate.

Quantitative and qualitative data will be collected in ways that respect privacy and removes personal identifiers. Excel spreadsheets can be used for some data management, however, the contractor and MAPP Steering Committee will work together to identify presentation strategies (infographics, tables, stories, etc.) that best meet the objective: the CHNA is easy to read, paints a picture of community health status, and motivates the reader to make our community a better place for everyone.

From the scope of work, it looks like this is a bit of an expansion on the 2019/2020 Needs Assessment, which appears to be primarily the results of a survey – is this correct?

We are anticipating this assessment will be more in-depth than the 2019/2020 report, more similar to our 2016 assessment. All past Assessments can be found here: https://mappofskp.net/about-us/community-health-needs-assessment/

Is the expectation that the consultant selected will use the same survey instrument as was used previously, to provide comparable data to the 2019/2020? Is it expected/preferred to do a phone survey again, or are alternate methods of data collection, such as internet only, allowable?

The plan is to use the same Perceptions of Health Survey as in the past years, with the potential for adding new questions. Additional questions and methods for acquiring responses will be determined by discussions between the contractor and the MAPP Steering Committee.
